Robert McPartland

Robert McPartland's mesmerising and beuatiful observation of relationship and scale has earned the artist a reputation as one of the leading exponents of his art at work in Wales, a reputation reinforced by a highly successful exhibition with his wife Stephanie Tuckwell at the gallery in late 2009. A previous winner of the Hunting Art Awards regional prize for Wales, McPartland's work features in, among others, the collections of the The Earl of Gowrie, Unilever plc, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and Deryck Healey, patron of New Art Tate Gallery.
Robert states, "I am interested in our relationship to the forms we share our world with, to which we attach ever changing meanings, values and functions. Through observation, thought, use of context, relationship, and scale, I try to say something of significance with small things, whilst being true to their nature. Even a simple, single form can have many manifestations and existences; faced with complexity, I work as simply as possible."
