Audrey Johns
Formally trained in the 1970s as a graphic artist, Audrey has enjoyed a career in design, including establishing a thriving interior design business, working with textiles, colours, paints and papers. On becoming semi retired, Audrey studied Fine Art Painting at Coleg Sir Gar in Carmarthenshire and three years on is enjoying an increasingly strong reputation for her work in acrylics, charcoal, graphite and watercolours. Her main interests are in the landscape of Wales, portraiture and drawing. Her aim is to convey the soul of the subject, and the wonderful legacy of our working class social history, sometimes incorporating subtle textures to describe layers of time and exposure to the elements.
